Highlights

Introducing BVQ-Server

The new BVQ-Server ist the core feature of the BVQ 5.2 Release. This first version replaces the obsolete BIRT Reporting Module and provids a much more flexible and accessible reporting engine via web interface. Further services like scanners or alerter will be merged into this new component in the future.

Features:

  • Reporting web interface for remote access
  • Basic user management for admin and user privileges
  • Known BVQ-Reports included based on the new engine
  • Report templates consist of report snippets like
    • General layout elements (headlines, test, ....)
    • Topology tables based on favorites stord in the System or All users folder
    • Pie charts
    • Capacity charts
    • Loops over objects of the same type
  • Reports are available as HTML Report or PDF File

Use custom or predefined Templates to generate new reports

Create your own Templates based on customized snippets and GUI Favorite tables

View, download or regenerate reports from history

Have look at the HTML sample report: SampleReport.html

More Informations

More information on how to use the new Reporting Engine will be available soon. For further questions, do not hesitate to contact our BVQ support team.

Chart view compact legend

The new organized legends of the Performance View fixes an long know problem if many objects are shown in one chart. The new legend ist split into two legend areas - metrics and objects. Both can be configured separately.

Metrics

  • Names and colors shown below the chart area
  • Organized similar to metric selection panel
  • Metrics of a common category compacted in one line

Objects

  • Names and their line styles shown on the right

Chart view multi line selection

Be able to select multiple objects in a chart by selecting multiple narrow line segments inside a bounding box.
Eases to find their common grouping objects (Same host? Same node? Same array?)

Keys:

  • Hold the SHIFT Key to drop the current selection and select only the objects in the bounding box
  • Hold the CTRL Key to add the objects in the bounding box to the current selection

Data Migration Tool

The Data Migration Tool is a stand alone utility to perform a migration from old data, stored in DB2 into the new DB MongoDB.

For detailed Information have a look into our Migration Guide or watch our Migration video on youtube.

Improvements

Description

BVQ-11948GUI

Relax the strictness of VDisk copy roles configured in VDisk group relations between Primary and Secondary VDisk copies of the same VDisk group.

With that you are now able to configure a VDisk group relation between all primary and all secondary VDisk copies. Set its condition to "antilocated site". Related objects violating this rule will show up in a treemap using the coloring "VDg relation compliance".
