The entire BVQ team wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. πŸŽ‰

As mentioned in June 2022, BVQ withdrew the support for Brocade BNA scanners with version 2022.H2.1. BVQ no longer provides fixes or support in error situations.

(warning) With the public release of BVQ version 2023.H1.x, Brocade BNA scanners & systems will be removed completely without further notice!
This means existing scanner configurations and existing BNA systems in the BVQ database will be deleted during the update process.

We strongly recommend to move to Brocade REST scanner within BVQ. (Brocade Network Advisor support ended 2/8/2022 - see https://www.broadcom.com/support/fibre-channel-networking/eol for further information)

(info) More information about the requirements for the Brocade REST Scanner:

  • You can use the Brocade REST Scanner in BVQ starting with FOS version 8.2.1b onwards (with this version, FOS provides all the necessary data via the REST interface).
  • FOS 8.2.1b also means, that Brocade Gen4 switches are no longer supported with the REST Scanner, as these only go up to FOS version 7.4

If you need assistance for the migration, please get in contact with the BVQ team.
